Do you remember the FD-1023 form that allegedly showcases Joe Biden’s involvement in a pay-to-play scheme during his vice-presidential tenure? The form that FBI Director Christopher Wray refused to release? Well, we finally have it in our hands.
The saga of the Biden family’s purported bribery scheme continues to unfold.
House Oversight Committee member, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), has had a chance to review the form, and she had some strong words to share:
“This is an impeachable document. President Biden should be impeached. Secondly, he should be prosecuted. It’s unbelievable. It’s a pay-to-play scheme. He took a bribe from a foreign national in a foreign country who paid millions of dollars,” Greene stated. “He needs to be prosecuted for this, and I would argue that he should serve jail time.” [Source]
That’s a substantial statement. Strikingly, public opinion seems to be swinging in that direction. According to a recent poll by the Trafalgar Group, a significant portion of US voters believe that the Biden family received payments from foreign nationals to influence policy. [Source]
Over half – 53.3% – of the respondents think so. Even among the Democratic respondents, a noteworthy 34.7% either believe in or aren’t dismissing, the possibility of the first family receiving foreign payments.
Republicans, on the other hand, are overwhelmingly convinced of the Biden family’s alleged misdeeds. Nearly 90% of GOP respondents agree that the family received foreign payments.
As Mark Meckler, the President of the Convention of States, said, “The congressional investigation is not even complete, and this poll shows that the majority of… Americans have already seen enough documented proof to believe that a disgraceful and illegal scam was/is being run by President Biden’s family.”
Investigative efforts are underway and are about to receive a significant boost. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has reported that additional FD-1023 forms from the FBI are forthcoming. [Source]
Biggs says, “We continue to accumulate evidence, so we’re going to get more bank records this week. We are supposed to be receiving more FD-1023s, which are these reports from the FBI.”
While these new forms may not be from the initial informant, they could still be relevant to the case. This means more pieces of this convoluted puzzle may soon be laid out in the open, bringing us closer to understanding the full picture of the Biden family’s alleged dealings.
But this process is not without its challenges. Biggs has expressed the FBI’s reluctance in providing these documents, saying, “They’ve been very difficult to deal with.”
One might wonder why an organization built on the pursuit of justice would resist providing relevant information in a case that could implicate the President.
It’s not just members of Congress who are concerned. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has chimed in as well. His new ad accuses Joe and Hunter Biden of “cashing in” on Joe’s influence and power. [Source]
This ad brings into focus a questionable series of events – the alleged bribes from Burisma, Biden’s role in ousting a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company, and the concealment of Hunter’s laptop and its evidence.
As we know, there are always two sides to every story. However, one side isn’t making much sense in this case.
Some House Democrats are dismissing evidence of a Biden-Ukraine bribery scheme while also insisting that the DOJ’s actions against former President Trump aren’t politically motivated. [Source]
Among them is Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who said, “All I want them to do is pay America’s bills, fund the government, and keep Ukraine in the fight. And if they want to waste their time on worthless investigations, they’ll have to answer to the American people for why they chose to do that.”
Regardless of these dismissive stances, the importance of holding those in power accountable remains paramount. With the increasing release of FD-1023 forms and the ongoing work of the House Oversight Committee, we may soon be closer to a more complete understanding of this alleged scandal.
Whether or not one believes in the merit of the allegations against Biden, we can all agree that transparency is key. For a country that values justice and the rule of law, we cannot ignore these allegations. As Americans, we deserve to know the truth. Stay tuned as we continue to follow this story.
