It states: “[The] Defendants … [together with] 30 unindicted co-conspirators … and others known and unknown to the Grand Jury, formed a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in … false statements and writings, impersonating a public officer, forgery, filing false documents, influencing witnesses, computer theft, computer trespass, computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud the state, acts involving theft, and perjury.”
Fulton County’s Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney, Fani Willis, has been a central figure in this indictment. However, how the indictment was leaked remains unclear, with Willis sidestepping the issue.
Willis set a tight deadline, giving Trump and the other 18 defendants until August 25 to surrender. In a press conference, Willis expressed her hope for a trial to commence within the next six months, potentially aligning with the peak of the GOP presidential primaries in February 2024.
